Geological characteristics
In terms of industrial significance, the Teghut deposit is a non-ferrous metal deposit of copper and molybdenum.
Type of deposit: stockwork.
A stockwork is an irregularly shaped ore body (more often isometric) formed by a mass of rock permeated by a dense network of diverse veins and veinlets containing ore minerals; the same minerals also occur as disseminations within the rocks intersected by the veinlets.
Overall, the ore body of the deposit has the shape of a slightly elongated, thick-walled inverted cone with a characteristic internal (barren) core.
Nature of mineralization:
- veinlet (stringer)
- disseminated
- veinlet-disseminated (stockwork-disseminated)
