Today, we hosted 7th-grade students from the H. Meliksetyan Secondary School of Shnogh, accompanied by the school principal and teachers.

As part of their project work on the mining industry, the students received a practical introduction to open-pit mine operations and the entire production process, from ore extraction to concentrate production.

The drainage channels intended for removing floodwaters via pumps were clogged with soil, sand, and gravel. Additionally, the clarification pond, which collects water used for the closed-cycle ore processing at the beneficiation plant, was flooded. The Company's pumping station on the Debed River, along with its equipment, was completely submerged. The road leading to "Teghut" CJSC was washed out in three locations.

These consequences of severe weather and flooding made it impossible to continue ore extraction and processing operations, as well as the delivery of finished products to customers. Production activities were suspended from May 26, 2024, until the elimination of the aforementioned consequences.

At present:

Ore extraction and processing production have been halted; the personnel involved in these technological processes have been placed on forced leave (downtime) not through the fault of the employer.

Cleaning of the clarification pond pump is underway (operating 24/7).

The Debed River pumping station is being cleared of soil and stones; inspection and repair of the electrical equipment installed at the station are being carried out.

Restoration of the road leading to "Teghut" CJSC is in progress.

Furthermore, "Teghut" CJSC has participated in flood relief and recovery efforts by providing personnel and machinery for:

Restoration of the pedestrian bridge over the Debed River leading to Akhtala.

Repair of roads in the Shnogh community.

Loading of construction equipment onto railway platforms on the left bank of the Debed River.

Today, "Teghut" CJSC organized another study tour, this time for the students and teachers of the "Karkop Secondary School" SNCO, Lori Region, RA.

The visit was of an educational and developmental nature, during which the attendees witnessed the entire ore extraction process, learned about the operations of the Ore Dressing Plant, and visited the tailing dam.

Such interesting, comprehensive, and impressive tours are ongoing and aim to assist future students with their career orientation.

Unique archaeological specimens discovered during excavations in the Teghut mine operation zone are currently preserved at the Lori-Pambak Geological Museum.

On May 18, International Museum Day, visitors will have the opportunity to view these exceptional finds during the permanent exhibition titled "CULTURAL MASTERPIECES OF LORI."

Congratulations to the employees of the Analytical Department of "Teghut" CJSC, who completed professional training on "GOST ISO/IEC 17025-2019: General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories" and received their certificates today.

Pursuant to Article 249 of the RA Labor Code and the RA Government Decree No. 1089-N dated July 15, 2004, regarding the periodic medical examination of specific groups of employees exposed to harmful and hazardous factors in the production environment and labor process, and based on the existing contract between "Teghut" CJSC and "Alaverdi Medical Center," the Company's employees will undergo mandatory periodic medical examinations from April 10 to 30 of this year.

"Teghut" CJSC prioritizes the health of its employees and consistently keeps it as a primary focus.

We are proud to announce that "Teghut" CJSC, equipped with a comprehensive base of professional and laboratory equipment, initiated the accreditation process about a year ago and has successfully completed it. As of today, the laboratories of the Analytical Department are accredited and comply with the international ISO 17025 standard.

While there are other accredited laboratories in the mining sector operating in Armenia, this is the first time an Experimental Laboratory, as such, has received accreditation. This allows both existing and newly established mining companies to obtain professional expertise, research, and standardized expert opinions and interpretations regarding mine operation and mineral processing technologies.
